The multi-sectoral alliance Bagong Alyansang Makabayan (Bayan) slammed the gathering of the world’s richest countries and called the Group of Eight (G8) Summit a futile attempt to cover up the culpability of the US and company in the escalating fuel and food prices and worsening poverty around the world.
